Happy Halloweeeeeeennnnn......

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO EVERYONE...

Not a whole lot new here for me. If you read my previous blog to this one, you know that I finished the book I was reading. It was awesome. The best part about the whole thing is that I have actually had the opportunity to meet Rick. He is a much more down to earth guy than I would have imagined.
I have really been enjoying reading lately. I have always enjoyed it, but I never did much of it. I have now finished my third book in the past four months. Which for me, is a lot of reading. I have actually been enjoying it so much, the day I finished "PATIENT NUMBER ONE" I came home from work and started reading 1877: Year of Violence and I have already begun to enjoy it. It will be the first book of Uncle Robbie's that I have read and from this point on, I intend to read more. Not that any one cares about this shit, but I am enjoying my reading and wanted to write it.

A BOOK REVIEW.....by ME!!!!

"PATIENT NUMBER ONE"
BY RICK MURDOCK AND DAVID FISHER

Not that my opinion matter much to the majority of existing man...but to me my opinion is the most important opinion to "one man" that I know very well ME! Therefore I am going to voice it.
I have recently read and thoroughly enjoyed with an abundance of fascination..."PATIENT NUMBER ONE."
The story of a growing, yet small, biotech company and a CEO who took on two of the biggest battles a person can...Cancer and Corporate America.
Stem cell research...I am still not sure I can grasp, to its fullest, what stem-cells are or what they do. But my understanding, or shall I say lack thereof and disbelief, is clear when it comes to the decisions made by a medical "goliath..." the evils of money, the power of it, and the corruption of our judicial system. It seems painfully clear that the bigger you are (as a "corporate goliath") and the more money you have the more you are entitled to. Whether this is factual or simply the opinion of an individual who has some commonsense it's debatable.
In my own opinion (a mind that is intellectually savvy when it comes to right and wrong) it is a disturbing and grotesgue display of idiotic ignorance that is displayed in profound perportion by the pages within "PATIENT NUMBER ONE"
A successful, yet relatively small company doing what is right, from their hearts, their souls and their minds, is forced to withstand the onslaught of corruption, the greed, and the monopolization of a "corporate goliath" that is reluctantly brutal.
As I read the story of Rick Murdock and his compelling ability to never give up (on his life and battle with lymphoma or his company CellPro), it accurd to me that injustice is inevitable. Whether you want to belief it or not, to me it was obvious on the pages of this book. Injustice is a strange phenomena that will never be understood and most likely can't be understood.
To all the individuals within the pages of this book, I thank you for your time and your efforts. For letting those of us fortunate enough to read "PATIENT NUMBER ONE," to realize just how incredibly corrupt and injust this nation can be. It truly is an incredible story of a company (CellPro) and its employess who have the hearts and the drive to try to do what is right...for the people who suffer from cancer, not for the money.
