Black Friday....

Well, here it is, another BLACK FRIDAY! Who cares! We don't the hype of another day to go out shopping and the millions of people who have fallen for a wonderfully calculated governmental plan to stimulate the economy every year...the day after Thanksgiving. Why do people continue to be complete and idiotic drones. They tell us to go shop to day, and so many of us do. GODDDDDDD DAAAAAMMMNNNNNNN IIIITTTTTTT. People don't do it.
Well, we had an absolutely wonderful time yesterday at mom and dad. Great food, great company, and great games. Great White Russians, great cider, and great coffee. Now it is just another day of shopping for Thess and I, we were out there at 3 o'clock this morning in line and getting our push on. Only had to use our tasers once...no need for the pepper spray, it only makes them madder. We went straight for our tasers. "SHOCK AND AWE....." gets you in the door first... WE HAD TO "STAY THE COURSE...."and we were success.
Enough babble, even though it is what we are all best at.

why not...

Well, I have been doing some thinking about try some on-line courses of study. I have thought about trying some paralegal courses, since I already have my B.A. in Criminal Justice, I thought maybe I could do that and try something new with my life. Although it may take some time and some studiying....I am really thinkin gof venturing into it. WHY NOT!!!!!
The fence go finished today....wow does it look good. Makes the yard look way bigger than it did before. Especially from the road. Thess and I had a good little visit with mother yesterday afternoon after work. We talked about all sorts of need ideas for changing some things in the house and painting. I think it could come out to be quite nice and make a huge difference in the way it looks in here.
Thess and Leah and Myself went out for Thai last night at the Thai Garden, we had a good time and a great dinner. It was fun. Work this week, thus far has been wonderful and so on and so on and so on.

Saturday morning....

It is another Saturday morning and we are almost up and at 'em here. Got some laundry done, dishes done, and a couple of cups of coffee in me so far and I am ready for my day. I think...I don't know if any of are actually really ready for our day. Since we really never know what is
in store for us.
Nothing real exciting going on for me lately.......so I will keep it short.
I have officially started to read Bell:...

two down.....

Yep.....that's right two down!!! 1877:Year of Violence and now Lincoln and the Tools of War. Two to go....My next task is to make it throught Bell. I think that is the biggest on yet. I have really enjoyed reading Uncle Robbie's books. They aren't stories in the traditional sense, more of informative writing full of color.
Well, we actually got 5 hours in today. Despite the rain, it was pretty wet and windy, we were able to get some smaller things done. I am just sitting here enjoying my glass of wine, my cheese and crackers and my laptop. Since I just finished Lincoln and The Tools of War this afternoon, I am going to wait until tomorrow morning to start Bell. Thess is working diligently on Batgirl and says she will be done tonight. She has been hard at it for the past week and putting in some late nights/early mornings.
Good willing to all and keep it REAL.

What Gloomy weekend....

Well, here it is another Sunday....Damn it I have to work tomorrow. Actually that is a good thing, since we had the job shut down on Thursday and Friday. Although it nice to have a few extra days off here and there. It does hurt financially, but at least I still have a job and that it was just due to the weather. As Thess put it...at least I wa spending it doing somehting wise. I spent a lot of time down at the Dancing Goat reading books by Uncle Robbie. I started and finished 1877: Year of Violence last week. Now I have started to read Lincoln And The Tools of War. I started it yesterday and am about half way through it. I don't know what hell got into me lately...reading. I am enjoying the hell out of it. I have really been enjoy my wine, cheese, crackers and reading. Maybe I am really as intellectual as I think I am. No, I know I am.....hahahahah.
Uncle Robbie was an amazingly colorful writer. The descriptive, colorful, and strength of the with which his books are filled with just simply amaze me. The thing that really leaves me in aaawwwww....is the fact that with all the words he uses, you rarely find him usually them twice. How did he do it? Simply a gift.... My goal now is to read the rest of his books as well as McKay's book on Bell, right after I read Robbie's book on Bell.
I have recently, along with my readings, been watching "30Rock" what a great show. I have to hand it to Tina Fey, she did fabulous job creating and producing the show. It is damn near as good as "Arrested Development" which is quite a compliment coming from ME!!!!! Although "Arrested Development" is going to be hard to beat.
I think reading allows a persons mind to be set at ease for that moment in his or her life. Regardless of the genre, it allows a person to forget about all those things that make life hard, sad, happy, stressful, or anything else that we seem to have bottled up in our minds, our hearts and our souls.
