Tuesday......

Well, here we are almost the end of February and the economy hasn't turned around yet. What the hell is wrong with our government. I mean...you and me know hat it wrong with it, but why can't they figure it out for themselves. Why don't they balance the national check book just like we all have to balance it at home. We turn our cable off, we shop for cheaper clothes, we drive less, we don't eat out as much, we pinch pinch pinch. They seem to just keep spending and spending and spending.
The stock market continues to tank, gas is back down to 40 dollars a barrel, college tuitions are going up to help with administrative cost, fuel is going back up per gallon, and the banks continue to take our money and not have to pay it back if they go under. Yeah the stock market with go back up some day, when? Who knows....How much? Maybe never even close to what it was....it closed around 7100 points yesterday....a year and a half ago it was around 15000 points. Now is the time to buy! Now is the time to buy! Now is the time to buy! Don't all these dumbasses who keep telling us to buy stock because they are so low....buy houses because they are in foreclosure and cheep, buy cars because interest rates are at an all time low.......HELLO, the unemployment rate is close to 8 percent. People are out of work.....hours have been cut, wages have been cut. We don't have the money to spend you mother flippin' jackasses. WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY. So giving the banks money so they can loan to us again. How th fuck did we get in the position in the first fuckin' place? Banks loaning to people who don't have the money, and the banks not having the money to back it.
I simple can not understand how these people can look in the mirror and say......."hey this is a good idea....lets stimulate the economy by giving every one 500 or 600 or 1000 dollars." Come on! You blithering idiots.... Do you not realize that all we can do with that is simply pay off a credit card or make a house payment, or a car payment, or maybe pay a medical bill. We aren't going to go buy a big screen television or a new car with it. Or put it in the stock market...yeah so it can be worth about a quarter of what we invested within in two month. Pull you head out of your asses and do something for the people....for us, not for them...the corporates.
P.S. if we are in such a state of state budget crisis....why or how can we pay a football coach for a state university when over a million dollars a year? The highest paid state employee is a football coach at a university? What the fuck does this tell you?

The has only just begun....

Well... lets see, my Monday went well at work dispite the slippery roads in the morning. I have mananged to get my wine collection up to 54 bottles, take into consideration, I try 2 or 3 bottles per week. Which means, I have had a lot more than that, that is what I have "instock" I have to figure out some more storage for them and also a cooler spot during the summer. Possiblly one of those little wine frigerators or building some racks out in the garage where it will stay cooler, year round. I have really gotten into to reading about wine as well and ll the little things about it. There really is a lot to know. I have only just begun.... Gabby got me a one year subscription to Wine Spectator magazine....I am excited about that....

Another weekend past....

It is another weekend closer to whatever it is that we wake up to the next day. The weekend has been good for me thus far, and last week was a good week at work. Jack had a great game yesterday. He always plays so hard and hustles alot.
Gabby and I had a wonderful dinner. We went to the wine bar in Tacoma again, it is really nice and relaxing as well as having wonderful food. I am heading back up there this afternoon for dinner, she is inviting three of her sisters over for dinner as well. She ask if I would meet them, of course I had to say yes.
I have been having so much fun with the wines and wine books. I have really started to enjoy them. Maybe some day I will be able to do something with it, my interest in the wines that is.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week to come.

another day closer to monday...

So far this weekend has been a great one. I have the boys and yesterday Jack had a pretty good game. He is a real hustler on the court and tries really hard. He does really every game and score points here and there. His baseball tryouts went really well. He did really good and got on the team he wanted to get onto. I still think it is pretty shitty to have the kids try out at this age, there are some who still struggle with most of it and to have them have to perform their skills infront of the coaches and the parents and teh other kids on player at a time....I don't care to much for it.
Gabby said she had a wonderful visit with everyone yesterday and she said thanks for letting here hangout with us all. She is so laid back and is really good with the boys. She really likes everyone and enjoys coming down.
Well, tomorrow is another day of work and I am looking forward to it.

Flight of the Concordes....in Portland!!!!

I got the email announcing the Flight of the Concordes in Portland on May 14. That would definitely be worth the trip for any one who would like to go. It is on a Thursday and the show start at 730. Thank for the announcement. Things are going well for us at work this week. Word is they have given some numbers for a job in Dupont and that they are looking at giving some numbers for a job down here in the Olympia area somewhere. I can only hope that we get one of the two. Then I could be the closest on to work for once.
Thing are going great with Gabby, she really had a good time last weekend just hangin out with all of us. She is planning on coming down again to hang out this Saturday, depending on how much class work she needs to get done. I don't want her neglecting her class work or studies. She is a lot of fun to just hang out with. Down to earth and mellow and funny and goofy and doesnt' have to be entertained or have to be doing something all the time. Like to just sit and watch movies....sounds like us.
