Ahhhhhh...another monday

Well, here we are another Monday and still... I don't know what the "and still" was suppose to be, just sounded good. I great day at work. Only had to deal with a few ignorant asses and of course, me being who I am ...... I was a smartass, but a well planned and thought smartass. I hope everyone was able to enjoy their Monday, no rain. Although it is suppose to be coming in tonight, and hangout with us for the rest of the week. Yeeehaaaaaawwwww, that is just perfect.
Next week we are supposed to be heading way up North to Arlington for our next job. My carpool partner(Buffalo) and I are going to see if anyone else is interested in splitting a hotel room or two just to at least save us the mental stress of driving in traffic for 4 or 5 hours a day. Hopefully it won't be for long. We supposed have gotten a few jobs down this way that we are going to when they get started up. That will be a nice relief for once. If it happens.
Thess and I are just sitting on our laptops (not literally) watching "Monarch of the Glen" and listening to Yeta's repetative meow. Every once in a while you can hear the windchime on the porch make some noise in the wind.

Runnin' on Empty....

Yep!!! runnin' on empty right now. We had to work a night shift last night that started at 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon and I got home at 430 a.m. this morning. Got about 2 1/2 hours of sleep got up around 730 headed back up to work to start at 10. Show yeah I am a little bit sleepy, but now that I am home relaxing, at least for right now, I am doing okay.
We had 6 water tie-in to do last night and they all had to get done, because they only had one night of shutting the water main off for the clinical side of the hospital. The 9 to 5 building, which is why we were able to shut it off at night. It was pretty awesome, out of the 6 that we had to do, with the help of another crew, Ray and I got 4 of them done. It was pretty awesome to be able to whip them out. Now that I have done more and more of them, it is starting to get easier and my confidence is building so that I know I can do it and make things work without having to really second guess myself.
That is about it for now. And for those of you who have found "My life and My Wines" don't worry, I am going to keep up to date on that one as well. Just been a busy week and really haven't had the brain power to produce good writing.

My newest adventure.....

Well, I have begun a new adventure in the world of computer blogging. I added a new link on here for those of you who may be or are intersted. It is still in the "getting it going stages", so there isn't a whole lot on it right now. But, as I have the time and the computer patiences, I will continue to develope it and hopefully make it an enjoyable visit for all who view it. Both for entertainment and hopefully knowledge as it evolves. Thanks for viewing.

A well deserved day off......

It is a well deserved day off for all of us. I am sure you noticed that I have been working on
changing the look of my blog a little bit and rearranging the whole thing.
I think it look better, but then again it is just like moving furniture. It looks better just because it is different and new soon enough it will look old and things get moved around again just to give it a new refreshing
look once again.
The boys are here this weekend and we are planning on going over to grandma and grandpas house today for a visit. Jack has baseball practice at 5:30 this afternoon so we are going to that and then maybe back to
grandma and grandpas for a little more visiting.
The work went pretty well...but I really only say that because I know that I worked my ass of all week and
got a lot of stuff done. And know that I really earned my pay and my weekend is a reward in itself.
Also knowing how hard some of those guys didn't work all week yet they still get a pay paycheck (bigger than mine) and they still get their undeserved weekend. But it is what it is and I know what I do everyday at work
and I know that I am not going to end up like them some day. Fat and lazy with no drive or self pride in how I work. No way!!!!!
Any way I hope everything is going well for everyone. Thess is supposed to get back from ABQ today sometime.
Gabby may come down, she wasn't feeling good last night and had a long crappy week at work.
I am having my morning coffee right now and the boys are watching Lord Of The Rings....Again

Thursday......

Well, here it is Thursday already or for some of you finally. One more day and, not all of us, but most of us get our well deserved days off. Things at work have been going as well as they can be,
the piece of water main that we have been working on has been quite interesting to say the least.
It is hard to explain the complexity of it, yet how fun it is to work on this piece of work.
I got a nice compliment from the head of the water district for Burien yesterday. The inspector we have
has made the comment a few time to Mark (my foreman), that "your ace pipe fitter will figure it out"
referring to me and my ability to make it work and look good. When you have to bolt up alot
of bends and angles, it gets really complex since nothing is flexible and everything has to be restrained
due to the amount of pressure flowing throw the pipes.
Anyway yesterday the inspectors boss, who is the head of the City of Buriens Water District so what,
I had configured to get through a difficult tied spot and between a couple of storm lines under some electrical
and around to corners to get to the existing main. He came up to me and said ...
"you are a real artist, the way you put that together. You make it look real nice...a masterpiece."
Made me feel pretty good, since no one else seems to really try or their ideas don't really fly well. Just
let me do it and the shit will get done and look good.

Just had to let everyone know that I finally got a nice compliment from someone...that recognized my abilities and appreciated them. And also understood the complexity of what I had just put together and that it look that good.

Is it Tuesday........

WELL IT IS TUESDAY, BUT IT FEELS LIKE A... HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO EVERYONE WHO READS THIS, THAT IS IF ANYONE READS THIS.
I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Monday and a great Tuesday. My day at work was frustrating, but what's new and who care. Sometimes (once again) people amaze me. But, I guess that's how people are. Once I got home things went well for the most part, except: The three bottles of wine that I bought fell out of the truck when I opened the door and broke in the drive. I guess it was my own fault, that's what you get when you but them too close to the door. Then I got in the house and stubbed my little toe on the couch when I was trying to let Yeta (Thess's cat) out the sliding door. That just made thing worse. Finely, I got my groceries put away (salad stuff with no wine to put away) took a show and the G.D. bar wouldn't stay in my hand. I dropped the damn thing at least 5 time. Not that any of you need to know that, but that's what this thing is for. Finally things went well while I was eating my cheese, crackers, and olive (with a glass of Louis M. Martine) and I dropped an olive. It actually landed right back in the little bowl that I had sitting on my plate. That's when I knew it was a good day.

updating..

yep...you may have noticed a couple of different photos on here and a few that are no longer there. I am working on updating to new images and possibly changing my layout just a little to get back into it. I hope all is well out there for everyone and be safe and have a great Tuesday. I finally got myself to start doing my situps in the mornings again. At least one day in a row so far...hahaha.

Just another maniac MONDAY....

Yep it is.....you may have notice two new photos on here. I am really going to work on getting back on this more. I have been working on getting all my photos on to iphoto and organizing them into categories so I can do something with them. I have also opened up a shutterfly, but haven't yet gotten on to do anything with it. When I do I will let everyone know. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that the weather hasn't gotten anyone to down. March definitely has come in like a LION.
Work is going well, we are still busy working up in Burien close to the airport. We are putting in a new water system (more of it) at Highline Hospital and it is a real complex piece of work. Good thing we have a good crew. HAHAHAH!!!! Good thing we have Reyes and I. That's the real treat for the rest of the guys on the crew. They do their part, a couple of them. The other couple do their part too.....talk and stand and talk and stand and talk and stand. Go get coffee and stand, sit in the truck and talk and then stand. Yeah!!!! It does get to me sometimes....okay almost every day, but I am working on just letting it go and keep my head down and doing my job. I must say... I do it pretty damn good!!!!!

Friday the 13th....

and I had a wonderful day. Go figure....superstition eat my heart out!!!!! I did have a wonderful day at work, it was a little longer than usual, but it is always nice when you are able to get a lot of difficult things done with the assist of the forman or the other half of the crew. Reyes (Ray) and I work really good together and between the two of us and Mike (Lew) our digger we pretty much do it all and figure it all out. Who needs the rest of those lazy ass motherFuc...ers.
Oh well, I really don't understand how they can not feel like they are going to get fired at any time. If I worked like they do and did half twice as much as they actually do, I would still be in fear of my job every day. I don't understand how people get by with doing nothing and feeling like they really do deserve that pay check they get on Friday... it actually makes me mad as hell, but oh well, I guess there are always going to be lazy, ass kissin' people who will always be don't have enough drive and motivation or pride in themsleves to actually work for their money. Some days I wish I could bring myself to be lazy and kiss ass and make it into a management position, but I guess it just isn't in my blood or my genes. And I am glad for that. Thank you mom and dad for instilling in my the ability to have pride in the fact that I am a hard worker and don't like to cut corners to get where I should be. I do like to work my way up the ladder, it only makes me that much better when I get there.

Wednesday? Already.....

Well here I am this morning having my coffee and listening to Duke eat his breakfast.....wow makes me hungry for somthing crunchy...it has been really nice to have him here for a week so far. He is a really good dog and minds us pretty well. Work is work, if I tried to explain all the shit that is going on it would take me to long so I will just leave it at.....I don't understand how some people can feel good about themselves by being lazy and making up things about other crews (ours) to make us look bad. Because we are just about the only pipe crew at northwest that hasn't had a pipe run that failed a test or had to be dug up for some reason and who work to get as much done as possible and done right. Yet those people who have been there for a long time and who are buddies with the owners somehow manage to make shit up about us and blame us for things that we didn't do let alone couldn't have done.
It is hard for me to keep my mouth shut when these things happen. We are the type of crew that when something breaks or goes wrong, we say something right away and get it fixed as soon as possible. All the other crews try to hide it hoping no one will find out. And we aren't even the ones fuckin the shit up in the first place. We take better care of our machines and equipment then any other crew we have seen with Northwest. Our operators clean the insides out with a broom and windex and armorall almost every day when we are done with them. No other crew does this. Yet they say we are trashing the equipment. Fuck them...just because we are getting our shit done fast and good and nothing fails and our production is there and we are making money, they try to set us up to fail or to look bad....It really is a fucking joke.....

It's already March....

Well, here we are again another month down the tube and another one started. Why the hell do we keep track of that sort of stuff any way. Have "they" gotten us so programmed that we have to keep track of things as if they are relevant. I really can't think of too many things that a person really should have to keep track of or think about. The first is to be happy....and I mean truly happy. The world is filled with superficial happiness that every young girl and every 20 something year old boy thinks he or she need to be happy.
Does not anyone have a true sense of themselves and who they really are a person any more. I know it did take me a while to realize this, but people spend way to much time trying to be what advertising says they need to be in order to be happy. My opinion....get rid of television all together. Go back to the radio of you news information. Advertising has become the root of alot of these problem the world and societies have today. Only my opinion, but until someone can absolutely positvely prove me other wise.....in my mind this is a fact.
So junk food on t.v. and we want to buy it. Show skin anarexic woman as top models and movie stars and your will cause woman and girls to want to look like that. From trying to be to skinny to buy all the make up and clothes...just to bust their sense of self. First of all don't tell us what the fuck we are suppose to look like when we go out. And don't put all that shit in our face and brain wash us to buy into you false sense of who we are and then make money of of us. Fuck that...people need to find themselves and not let the media and the t.v. tell them who and what and how they should look. I really do feel that the fewer people who have t.v.'s and the less people watching them... alot of thing would change for the better......
