Tuesday night the 26th

Today was a good day up here. There was only 3 of us working days, the other 3 are working tonight to finish up testing the pipe out in the road. We did a bunch of locating of all the utiliies that are already in the ground where we are put our next pipe runs in the ground. I had to leave at 11 to go to a rigging class down in Bellevue, so I only worked for half the day and then sat in class for the rest of it. Lew and Buffalo got all the utilities located on one side of the road and then got all our pipe strung out and the manholes set out so they got a lot done today. We are way ahead of what they thought we would get done. They said we would be locating all week.
I hope everyone had a great day and that you have a great remainder of the week. I think tomorrow we will maybe get to start putting some more pipe the ground. MAYBE. If not we will on Thursday. I am sure we are working Friday, that way we get our 40 hours in by working 4 tens.

Tuesday the 26th.....of May

Yep! up and at it. just about to walk out the door here and head to work. Overcast, but not raining yet. Just humid and hopefully it won't rain on us, it will hold off for the day. They are saying possible scatteredd showered though. The rest of the week looks warm and sunny with no rain. We are just going out and doing some small pittly little shit today, but it is work and we are getting paid so, can't complain to much. Actually shouldn't complain at all. We will be going to nights again here one of these days, probably next week. We are all hoping though that they will get us the hell off this job and back down south closer to home.
Other than that it is all going well. All the pipe we have put in the ground so far has passed the tests, actually we have a few more little runs to test, but everything we have tested has passed. Which is always a good feeling and a relief. Well gotta get of this thing and out the door.

Memorial Day 09

We made it back up here and got a room. So, we are settling back in and making it home. Not that we really want to, but that is what we have to do for now. The sun is shinign bright and it is a beautiful day. Wish I were somewhere else enjoying the weather, but oh well. Thanks for a wonderful day on Sunday to everyone who was at Sue and Becky's house. Gabby said she wishes she could have been there instead of work, but hopes that everyone had a good time. I am sure she is coming done next weekend to visit everyone with the boys. I hope everyone had a great day and and a wonderful three day weekend. I will keep everyone posted as much as possible. Have a great week and enjoy the weather.

Mid week....

Here we are mid week...almost mid week, a few hours to go and we will be there. Monday was a slightly slower day then we have had in the past, but still a full day of work.
Yesterday, is another story...we got rained out. We don't normally get rained out, but yesterday it was just doing
a bunch of little miscellaneous things so they told us not to worry because of how muddy
it had gotten. So we spend the day in the motel room watching movies and the history channel. Modern marvels and the computer generated re-inactment dog fights for WWI and WWII are a couple of good shows.
That's about it. I think we did get a 2 hour show up pay because we did show up to the day and then got sent home.
I can't wait until this whole job is over up here. I am tired of being away from home at night and having to try
to get everything done in one or two days on the weekend, rather then being able to get a few thing done
here and there throughout the week
Oh well, at least we got jobs and that they are keeping up busy for the most part.

Monday Morning

Well, we are back up here for another week of work. Still working days this week, but supposedly there is alot of night work coming up. So this week we are just going to be tieing up some loose ends here and there. Got up here about 6 O'clock last night and got settled in for the week. Hopefully this week will go by as fast as last week did.
WOW!!! What a weekend, it was beautiful and we had a lot of fun honging out with everyone on Saturday night with the boys and Gabby. It is a little cloudy up here this morning and they are forecasting for a chance of showeres possibly this afternoon, hopefully it won't rain on us at all this weekand we can have some nice sunny weather for working in. At least we got a taste of the sun and the heat this past weekend, sure was nice and makes you look forward to summer and the sun and those weekend BBQ's and those relaxing nights when it stays light until 10. Those are the days we are all looking forward to, those are the days of summer.

Already Hump Day......

Wow.....I can't believe it is already Wednesday! How do some of these weeks go by so fast yet others go by so slow? Some one give me the answer. We have had three good days so far up here this week. Today was
a little slow, but we made it and got done just before the real good rain started to come down.

Tomorrow is the last day of the week for us yeeehhhhhaaaaaaa. Monday and Tuesday we ass kickers. We got alot of pipe in the ground and a couple of manholes, and talk about tired, wore out, sore and exhausted.... I was all of those. So it
was nice to have a little bit of a slow day today to get a little bit of a break. The word is that we may be
going back to nights next week, but haven't heard anything for sure yet. None of use are looking forward to that, but I guess it is what it is and at least we are working.

Back to Days....

Here we are back on days. This will hopefully be much better than the nights we worked, at least as far as our sleeping schedule goes. It is raining this morning and appears to have rained pretty good last night it is nice and wet out. Not sure exactly what it is that we are working on this week, but we'll find out here in about 30 minutes.
I got my connection back so I have my computer up and going, last week, I couldn't get it up and connected last week which is why there was a lack of blog entries. I did have a great weekend busy and lots of running around, but it was good. And once again, Happy Birthday to you father and Happy Mother's Day to you mother and Happy Birthday to you Becky and tomorrow Happy Birthday to you Gabby.

Monday Afternoon....

Last night was a good night until we came across a 20 inch water main that was only 14 inches away from the concrete storm line that we are suppose to set a manhole on. The manhole is 5 feet in diameter and the pipe is supposed to go through the middle of it which means.....yep it might not work. We ended up shooting down early, around 2 o'clock this morning until they figure out what they want to do. We don't even know if we are working tonight because of that, but haven't heard anything yet. We will just show up as usual and hopefully get some show up time and stand by time while we are there if they haven't come up with a solution yet. Any solution they do come up with is going to be a extra and a difficult piece of work.
Got a lot of sleep today, not caught up completely, but it definitely felt good and was well needed.

Sunday afternoon...

Well, we got here safely and settled in again. Went to Safeway and got some salad stuff and water.
Once again the wonderful Gabby made us some super good treats. Thumbprint cookies, muffins and some biscotti. I am just getting ready for a little nap. I had a really good time yesterday with everyone over at mom and dad's. I really can't wait until we are done with at least night at really done with this job up here. I am really looking forward to getting back home even if it is a little bit of a drive. Just being able to be home says a lot for itself. I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday and that you all have a fabulous week. Thanks you to everyone one for being to wonderful with the boys. It really is fun to be able to have them around everyone and having fun.
