June 29th... almost christmas

June 29th, who would have ever guessed that this year would go by faster than last year, not me. Yeah can you believe it is almost christmas time. Hahahah....
What a great weekend...thanks to everyone for the wonderful visit on Saturday and for all the great food. I really enjoy having everyone over for little gatherings and BBQ. The boys had a good time, as always. I had a good time, and Gabby said she had a good time. The boys had such a good time going down to Wind Up Here on Saturday and picking out a few toys with their gift certificates. They played with them all day on Sunday before they went home. The whole weekend was very wonderful and the nice weather even made it better.
Suppose to be a short work week this week, we'll see what happens. Hopefully a three day weekend coming up. That is what I am planning for.

Hump day is over...almost

Yep...Hump Day is over as far as work goes, which is such a good feeling. Monday and Tuesday
sucked, we got quite a bit done, it was just thing were out of sink and we didn't have a good rythem
going. But we got alot of pipe in the ground anyway.
Today was a good day we didn't get much pipe, but considering the situation we were in we did damn good.
Partly because, I sort of took my role as the pipe layer back and just started doing things the way
they needed to be done so things got done smoothly and efficiently. At least from my perspective.
It rained on us a little bit around noon, but it was a well appreciated and nice rain. Now the sun is shining and we are watching the history channel with they wind blowing, the door open and the sound of that maple tree
outside our door in the wind. That really is a soothing sound.

Yet another week begins......

Yep...
you guessed it
another week has begun!!!!
Well the motel room seems to get smaller and smaller every week,
things seem to bother us more now then they did when we first got up here. Just isn't as much room individually as there used to be. Oh well, we make day by day. Just sit quietly alot of the time and watch the history channel.
Had a wonderful weekend thank to the family over at mom and dad's and to Gabby for coming down and
hanging out with us and to Jack and Luke for getting to come spend a few hours with me and the family on
Saturday. Thanks to everyone who was there. Got the strawberries back to Gabby's house safe and soundly.
I did was them, put them on a cookie sheet froze them and then placed them in a baggie, and I did it in that order.
Had my first message yesterday, Gabby got it for me for Father's Day...wow did it feel good.
Makes you relax and damn near just fall asleep while they are messaging.
Now, I me back up at my home away from home
doing what what I love to do......working!!!!!
Just not up here and not in this room any more, but I guess it is what it is.
Other than work, which has put a huge damper on my moods lately,
everything is going damn good for me. Gabby is such a great woman and a fun person to hangout with
and to be with. I am glad that she is able to feel so comfortable and
that everyone esle is able to feel comfortable when we all get together and she comes down to visit.
Cheers to another week gone and to another week begun.
Living for today....Hopin' for tomorrow.

No negative blogs.....

As I lay here this morning, I began to think about the ranting that my blogs used to consist of. I was think about the reason why I haven't really had anything to rant about to much, I came to one the conclusion, the main reason....I haven't had the t.v. at home. I don't watch the news and I don't pay attention to any the
media crab, reguardless of the topics or the issues. I wonder if people would be less stressed
less worried, less tense, less anxious, less pushing and just plain more laid back and nicer
if we got rid of television all together. Then we would have to hear all the shit they have to tell us
that we really have no control over. But then how would they get us all worked up, how would they get us
to buy things we don't need, or to go places we can't afford to or don't need to. How would they make us eat
fast food and buy all the latest fashion items. Wow! Makes you think how much power the television has and
then think about who is controlling it.....the can make us all go HD and no more bunny ears. What the fuck
is that all about. Get rid of cable all together, every in the world needs to cancel their cable or dish and read
the daily paper. MY OPINION.....this country would be much better off. People don't realize it, but it would take a lot of power from the government if everyone had the will power to do it.
Think about how the government scares us, stresses us out, puts fear into us, all through the fuckin' television. Cancel it all...............

Just another Monday...

It was just another Monday and yep at work is where I spent it. It was actually a really good day until we found some more of verizons wires that are in our way...once again. We went on stand by for about an hour and then called it a day. It was a full day fo work and we surpassed our quota dispite the stoppage of work.
The sun is shining up here, there is a very nice breeze and we actually have a room on the second floor with a maple tree that is tall enough to be outside our window, which makes it a little nicer than just looking out at the parking lot of a motel. The wind blows it, you hear and see it move and it does block our view of all the cars and asphalt for the most part.

sunday night...the 14th

Unfortunately we are back up here... not really, although it does suck coming up here and being away from home all the time, but I guess it is what it is. This weekend was so much fun. Thanks to the entire family and Gabby for coming over yesterday for a wonderful day to celebrate Luke's birthday. That was a lot of fun. I think we all had a great time. We all wish that Thess and Becky could have been there. It is always so much fun when everyone comes over. It is always so much fun no matter what when we all get together no matter where it is. I brought up some of my wines this week and some of my cheeses so I am enjoying them right now.
I hope everyone out there has a great week and enjoys every day.

Ah On more day and on more week gone....

What a week so far. Monday we retested the pipe run that hadn't tested for us last week. My first pipe run that didn't pass its first test, we dug it up and found two broken pipes. Not really my fault, more of a manufacture problem, but nonetheless I still lost sleep and stressed about it. Last friday, we replaced the broken pipe and then filled the line with water. The water in concrete pipe will oxidize and seal up any small cracks or pits that may leak. So Monday we retested it and the inspector said it had to hold for six minutes, it held for five and a half. I told him that I thought his numbers were wrong and that if he wanted to five me his formula I would come up with a time for the test in which we would pass. He went back to his office recalculated and called to inform us that it only had to test for 2 minutes. It passed at that point.
Tuesday we put 230 feet of pipe with one manhole in, only took about 5 and a half hours. We just go to fast some times. Wednesday, we replace some 24 inch concrete pipe that we put in about a month ago and the guard rail guys come through and drilled they post right through out pipe in to places, so we had to take all of it out back to the manhole in order to replace the two in the middle of it. Today we got another manhole and a little over 210 feet of pipe in the ground in about 5 and half hours and then had to find a bunch of little thing to do to get the rest of day in. Tomorrow we get to put some more pipe in the ground hopefully.
So all in all it has been a pretty good week, a little frustration from all of us staying up here but, we are just damn tired of it.

Here we are again....blaaaaaa

Yep!!!! We are still up here in Smokey Point. We only got about four and a half hours in today due to nothing ready for us yet. So we are relaxing in the motel room watching Rockford Files. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon...I guess!!!! I have told most everyone about my weekend and I will repeat the fact that it was a very excellent visit and first meeting of Gabby's father and his wife. It was a real relaxing and enjoyable dinner.

June first....

June first already...where did the year go, or where has it gone thus far. Seemes like
just last week Thess and I were walking around downtown Olympia in the snow and having
a good time. Now it seem like we are coming up on that time of year again already. Oh well,
not that we are all having fun, but time really does fly by us.
Anyway, we made it up here about 7 last night and got all settled in got a good nights sleep
and now up and at it.
Thanks, as always for a wonderful Saturday night. It is always so much fun to be able to hang
out with everyone when I have the boys for the weekend. Jack had a good game on Saturday, he had a really good hit, his best one of the year so far. And Sunday morning we did some spelling words and vocabulary words and he did really good. It is really awesome to see him
improving on everything.
Gabby gave me some more of the little lemon cookies to bring up and also made me some banana scones with chocolate chips and peanut
butter chips. So I have my breakfast and my afternoon snacks now. Work has been going well, although we are all getting tired of being up here. It is pretty messed up, the fact that
we have all this work to do up here, but we have gone the past four weeks with less than
40 hours each of those weeks. Yeah we do have jobs and we are making it by, but this company really needs to get there shit figured out. Well time for coffee and a scone.
