Thanks to everyone for the well wishes on Gabby's state boards. She was so nervous after them on Wednesday and yesterday. You have to go online to find out you results and you don't get a set score just a pass or fail. She was to scared to look and she didn't until one of her friends called her and told her that she look her name up on the DOH website under credential search, and saw her name as and active RN instead of a pending. Which means she past and she is now a State Certified Registered Nurse and she is very excited.
So thanks again to everyone for the well and good luck wishes.

Almost Friday...
Well, it is almost Friday, and that means the week is almost over and I get to see the boys.
This week has gone pretty good for me. Nothing to exciting or to outrageous to write about. I have stayed mostly calm all week and haven't gotten worked up really about to much.
Visited Gabby on Tuesday after work. She is so much fun to be around. She has such a great sense of humor and is down to earth about everything. She works hard, is smart and witty and is always just herself. I have given her an open invitation to come down any time she wants to or has time to just to hang out with us down here and to have a good time. I really am enjoying her company, she is so laid back and just fun. She has here boards next Wednesday, so she has been studying her but off when ever she has a free moment. Then she starts her new job at the ER on the 3rd of Feb. Wish her lots of look..... I am sure she will do fine on the test.

Sunday.....all ready?????
Yep....it is Sunday already. Wow!!! Gabby took me to a wine bar last night up in Tacoma for a late birthday dinner. Pour at Four was the name of it. The first wine bar I have been to, it was very nice and really fun. Sample some three Syrah's and then had a couple of glasses of L'Ecole No. 41 (Merlot). The food was extremely fantastic. Although, of course, the portions weren't huge, we both filled up on some very good appetizers. A cheese dish that had three different cheese...a chedder (from England) , Allgauer Bergkase (A hard Germany cheese similar to swiss), and Buche "Maitre Seguin" (a soft spreadable cheese made from goat's milk from France). The cheeses were served with green olives, crispy flat bread and baquette bread. With this we had a hot baked salmon dip served with baguette and crab stuffed mushrooms also served with baguette. For, a meal I had some fabulous crab cakes and Gabby had a pasta dish with shrimp, scallops, fresh tomatos and fresh mushrooms. It was all unbelievable tasty.
So, if any one wants to have some excellent food and a glass of wine in a small wine bar with a wonderful atmosphere, I highly recommend trying it.

UUUUGGGGGGGG.......
Well, this week has been our week for working nights up at the Highline Hospital by the Sea-Tac airport. It has really thrown me off, now that I am getting adjusted to it, we will be back on days next week. I don't mind working nights at all. There is now traffic for the commute and you don't have to deal with everyone else on the job site getting into your way or being in their way. It is going pretty good, we are making the progress that we wanted to and I think tonight, we should be pretty close to finishing it up, if not finishing.
The power went out here again on Tuesday morning, no idea of why, but they got it back on. Thess and I have been have coffee at the goat and a piece of banana and pumpkin bread to get our days started. The two of us had a good little visit with John yesterday and watched an episode or two of Spaced. I like it. I think that is one that is going to have to be purchased.
Gabby had a good time down here last weekend with the family. She said she would really enjoy getting down here more often and hanging out when she has time and see thing around Olympia. She got me a nice wine book and a cheese book for my birthday. The wine book is really good. I have been reading through every morning before I fall asleep. Saturday she is taking me to a wine bar in Tacoma for some cheese and wine sampling. I am really excited.
Well, that is enough of the babbling. I hope everyone is have a fabulous week and we will see you all soon.

Saturday Morning.....
Well, this past week was pretty good at work. We didn't have a lot of big work, but we had enough little stuff to keep us busy each day. Wow! I never thought it would feel this good to actually get back to work. Next week we are starting the night job up at the Highline Hospital. Starting Monday night at 6 pm. That will be work for that week. We got a big job up in Everett and another big job up in Arlington. So we have work, unfortunately it is way up North, which non of us are looking forward to, but once again, it is work.
The boys are here today, and Jack has his first basketball game of the season. So we are finishing up breakfast, getting in the tub, and getting ready to head over to pick Leah up so she can go to the basketball game with us. I hope every one has a wonderful weekend.

One week back.......
Yep...one week back at work, or should we say one week down and 51 left to go! Actually it was nice to get back to work and do something productive. Time off is always nice when you don't get it, but when you get it, it starts to suck after a couple of weeks. Oh well! The we was pretty good, jsut did a bunch of little stuff at work and nothing to exciting. We have been watching Sledge Hammer... man what a good show. That was another one of those shows that was only one for a couple of years, i think, but was a really good show. The is nothing that is even decent on television today. I thinkg it whould completrly band and there should be now more television for any one. I think we would end up woth much smarter kinds and communities that were much closer and tighter and nicer. People would be able to believe in what they wanted to not what the airwaves tell us to. I think it would rid the country of many of it's problems faster than what people might think. Then again what do I know?????

Back to work....
Yeehaaaa.....it's back to work. As much as we all want time off and not have to work, it sure seems like three weeks of being off is a long time. I guess it also depends on whether you have a lot of things you want to do and that maybe you are able to do some traveling with the time off. I did have a great little break from it all though and I am looking forward to getting back at it. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
If you haven't seen or heard of "LIL BUSH" I will lend it to you. I hadn't heard of it until yesterday when I was walking through Target and saw it... looked clever and funny... so I bought it. I have already watched it twice. Of course the whole (making fun of Bush) thing is always funny to me, the fact that there are smart and creative people in the entertainment industry with the ability and connection to make fun of him and put it out to the public. Although, they probably all end up dead of some rare disease.....oh yeah it called suicide. Isn't that funny how that seems to creep up on all these guys......hmmmm makes you wonder.

A Dustin of Snow.....
Yep...we got it! A light dustin' of snow. Seems chilly and windy out this morning and I think it is. I did venture out to bring the garbage and recycle bins back in. After sitting in the driveway for two weeks, they finally were able to come pick them up and empty them. Thanks to the city for getting them both in one day. I don't think they had a choice, lots of people had them sitting out for two weeks with additional bags sitting on the ground next to each bin. We were able to resist the urge to set extra bags out, but then again our bins are full again. Oh well.....that's what you get for being the nice people.
Got up and cleaned, moved some furniture, took all the Christmas stuff down and got it put away, had coffee, had more coffee and had more coffee. That's a Fenner......Pete and Pete have once again provided me with wonderful background noise.

2009
2009...What the.....? Could it really be? How did we get here and how has manking managed to make it this long without completely destroying itself? Oh wait...I think we have. Thess and I watched Idiocracy a couple of nights ago and uh.....uh.....uh.... We both gave ina nd went down to the court house to have out identifications tatooed onto our wrist and then went to starbuck, h and r block, carls jr., and fudpuckkers just to get a dose of the good stuff before it all goes to hell in a hand basket. If you have seen the movie you know my references. HAHAHA I am starting to see it more an more as I read and walk and talk to people. I even found the Urban Dictionary on the web...watch the F!@# is that all about? As GOB (Arressted Development) would say..."COME ON!!!" Thess found an Oxford dictionary from 1955 laying around the house and where have all the words with meaning gone to? I mean..."COME ON!!!!!" The dictionaries of modern times seem to much smaller and everything is simplified for what......education? Go figure.....2500 isn't that far off and I think the movie is much closer to depicting reality than 492 years. Good luck to you all in the future and "GODSPEED" that we never get there.
