Friday the 21..... of August

Well, our wonderful internet wireless service from which ever neighbor that it comes from
has come back on for what ever reason. We had lost it for about 3 days, but surprisingly it has come back on. So, the news is that the boys are here for the weekend and we just got back from Vic's Pizzaria with Aunt Thess, Aunt Leah, and Uncle James. Now we are relaxing with them all
watching Lord Of the Rings. Gabby had to work today 7 to 7 and ended up getting off late. She works 7 to 3 tomorrow and 7 to 3 on Sunday.
The big news for me is that I had another slight mishap with a wrench at work on Tuesday morning about 8 a.m. and broke my 3 front teeth and put a huge whole in my lip. Got into the dentist that after noon he put 3 stitches in my lip and pop my front tooth back into place. Then On Thursday morning I went in and spent about 4 hours in the chair and had a root canal done on the front tooth, and then the crowned the three teeth, cemented them and put a brace across my 6
front teeth to hold them tight for now sinced they are all quite loose. Nothing to worry about, the stitches are out and my lip actually has heeled up really well. My teeth are sore in the front, so not eating to much that I have to bite down on, but every thing is heeling up jsut fine. So no worrys, just more porcelain in the mouth.

August 15? Already!!!!

Where does the time goooooooooo... I realize our clocks continuesly go around in a circle and tell us
the same thing day after day, but what really happens to all the time that passes us by. To bad you can't recycle that stuff. I thing we all need flux compassidors (spelling?) in our vehicles, then what would
they do to stop....hahahaha!!! They couldn't.
Not a bad week at work this week, slow and a lot of nothingness, but at least we were getting paid for it
and got our 40 hours in. The job in Puyallup is just a slow go of it so far. Lot of big concrete pipe and culverts
with very little space to work in. And limited access on the roads we are working on.
I got off work in time on Wednesday, to go down and take Jack to his football practice. That is tough to watch.
Exciting and fun, it just seems much more competitive then the other sports kids play. He did good, a little
timid and I think afraid to get hurt, but that's Jack. He would rather tell everyone good job after practice,
then worry about hitting them hard. I was proud of him, he did good. He has the same three coaches as his
baseball team did this year, and they are really good with the kids and really good about giving
them encouragement and high fives just on their effort, which is so nice to see. They are competitive and get so at time, but you really do see and hear them telling the kids, "good job" when they are trying, even if
they don't make the play, but give effort and try.
Just got down here from Gabby's this morning and was going to do a few little things around here before heading back up to visit her and help her put here new mail box up.

I really can't do any political ranting any more or bitching about the world since I don't have television, don't get the paper and don't listen to the radio (except the local news every once in a while on my way to work) Makes for a much better life, just not knowing all the crap and b.s. that is going on out there. Then again it also makes for less exciting blogs, but excitement comes in many other forms and those other forms are usually much more important and much more self gratifying.

Tomorrow Jack turns 8...

Well it is Sunday morning and YEP... tomorrow Jackson turns the big 8. Wow how they do
grow up fast. We had a great time yesterday with everyone coming over and hangin' out with us.
Sandwiches were good, chips and salsa were good, company was good, cupcakes were good,
potato salad was good, fruit was good. All together it was a great day.
It seems like the sun is trying to come out right now and the rain last night was actually
a nice little surprise for all of us.
We are just sitting around this morning and watching benchwarmers again. The boys get a real
kick out of this movie. It is pretty corny and funny. The boys are heading home early today so they can celebrate birthday parties for their pa and mom and for Jack today.
All the presents that Jack got yesterday we super nice and I now he will enjoy them all.
Thanks again to everyone coming over and celebrating and making it a special day for him and for all of us.
They had a good time at the Japanese ceremony last night as well. Jack insists that he was going to dance if Becky would have made it all the way around the circle before the song was over. Luke ran and ran and was asleep in the truck by the time we got to the top of the hill going home. Of course he woke up as soon as we got home an tried to go to bed, but they both fell asleep pretty quick once they hit the bed.
Another week of work is coming up and we are heading to Canyon Road on the North end of Puyallup which will be on of the closest jobs for me. Hopefully we can be there for the next 10 years..hahahaha, maybe 2 or 3 weeks, but wishful thinking never hurt anyone.
I hope the week brings everyone good days at work and that we all do what we do best...have fun at whatever we are doing.

yep....its me and its August already

Well Here I am and still alive...survived the heat, but it was miserable. Reminded me of working on the fires in Eastern Washington. Just damn hot and no matter what you did the sweat was just pouring of of ya'. Work was pretty good this past week. We took it pretty mellow due to the heat and tried to pace ourselves. Of course for some people it was easier then other. The operators have a/c in their machines....(lucky suckers) the forman has to do paper work all the majority of the time in his truck with a/c and there are those who just seem to not do anything ...the majority of the time. The other two of use just keep going and going as fast as we can to get the work done. Lots of fluid intake though. Yesterday was a good change for us. Although we had to go back up to Smokey Point, it was all overtime and that was the first Saturday we have gotten to work all year. We were all excited and game for it, despite the fact that it was hot and we put in 11 hours.
Yes, Jwf...I did have a bite of the turkey leg and it was good. Nothing like a chicken drumstick though. More grisle(spelling), but still very tasty. We all had fun and as I think I said before, the boys we pooped. As were Gabby and myself. I think just about everyone was pooped. The sun and heat just drain you of energy reguardless of you activities.
This next week is supposed to be much cooler and I am sure will be much more tolerable as far as the heat goes. Looking forward to it...working without the so much sun beating down on us.
