Monday the 31 of May...2010

An update on some of my more excitingthings in life....yeah right!!!!!!

It is almost sickening to think that as far as the months go we are prenty much half way through another year and it is still raining outside. I listened to it all night and it is actually beautiful sound, when you don't have to work the nest day. I have even opened my window jsut enough to really enjoy the sound of it. Kind of like one of the nature tapes, only much better.
New Flash...we are going to the job in Vancouver, starting the 8 or the 14 not yet sure, but one of the next two mondays. They are supposed to be renting a house with an rv hook up for us to stay in, not quite sure what kind of house, if it has any furnishing or not...kind jsut have to see what the hell we are in for. Should be interesting 8 construction workers, and everyone of us know everything, so it should be interesting.
Saturday I went up to Gabbys and loaded all the junk that she had torn apart in her back yard and took it to the dump for her, and then hung out there with the dogs and watching Daria and The Critic until she got home from work, then we had a nice dinner, some broccoli, some texas toast, and some crab/shrimp raviolies with alfredo sauce. Then it was off to the frozen yogurt store for some non fat frozen soft serve yogurt. A private owned one that is excellent, the guy that owns it makes all his flavors and the are changing as he comes up with them, the inside decor is so welcoming and comfortable as well.
Yesterday, (Sunday) I finally just weeded and mowed. I was hoping for a dry day so I didn't have to unplug the mower by hand every past across the lawn, but I don't think that was going to be my luck for a while and It was time to mow. So I spend aabout three hours, mowing and weed eating and cutting down abunch of blackberry bushes and pulling weeds. The grass is getting so nice and dark green and thickening up nicely. Of course since it was raining, I fertilized and seeded again. Gotta take advantage of the rain for something since it doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
Thess and I did go down to The Breadpeddler for a cup of coffee and a treat, then to Grocery Outlet, then to Goodwill, and the to Big Lots...we had a good relaxing time.
Now for the biggest news of all, the most exciting thing that I have ever planned in my life, or I should say that some one has invited me to do with them, and the best part about it is that is is Gabby that has done it. She planned a trip to Disneyworld...yes World not Land. and she has already purchased everything as a package deal. Staying on the compound in the Pirates fo the Carribean themed hotel, (i think that is the one she picked), tranportation to and from the airport and the hotel to the theme park, meals and tickets all included. We leave December 2nd and come back on the 6th. Exciting...I have never done a real vacation like that before and she has been wanting to do this for a year now, so she did it. Should be a blast, and a good time of year where, I am guessing it won't be to busy.
There you have it an update on the past week for me...I hope everyone out there has a wonderful week coming up and I will be blogging.......Peace and Love... to all except the man...nothing but anger and intelligent questions for the man to answer, if he can. No political spin allowed....is that possible. Can the man answer a question with out a spin.....most people may not know this but there is a law on the books of every political agency from local to state to federal....this law states...no person or persons running for a political position or currently holding a polictical position shall answer any question, no matter the content, directly. Those who do answer a question in a direct manner without any attempt to spin the question or redirect it, will find themselves caught up in a scandal and forced to step down from their particular political position or will not be re-elected no matter the popular photo. Ballots will be stuffed...and results tampered with. This information is well known to those who are in politics, but is kept from us, the general public.

Get up so early and sound so chipper and happy with their songs of cheaps and chirps and tweets and peeps. Ohhh to be a bird.....to be a bird.....

Sunday...and Gloomy

Well...It is another Sunday afternoon...gloomy outside and grey. The rain has been off and on all day, which has kept me from going outside and mowing the lawn and or weed eating. Although that just may be an excuse to stay inside and relax (be lazy). We had a wonderful visit over at grandma and grandpas yesterday. It is alway wonderful when we can all gother there on the weekends that I have the boys. A little bit of everything seems to take place. Food, movies, games, a walk for someone and of course playing outside as only the kids really do enjoy, especially when it isn't really that nice out.
Today has been good thus far. The boys left about 30 minutes ago and I took about a 2o minute nap after their departure. We had a good morning and early afternoon. One was coloring, one was playing with the pirate ship that they got for christmas 2 years ago and I was doing laundry and folding it, vacuuming and doing dishes. A quick trip to goodwill revealed nothing of interest. No good jeans, no jeans really at all, to get for work jeans. Then a trip to Grocery Outlet, wow were they stocked up with a lot of good things to buy. Alot of good things for the boys when they are here, so I stocked up on food for them and snacks.
Now I am just going to relax the rest of the afternoon and mentally wind down. It is always a gloomy day, or I should say afternoon, when those little guys head home on the weekends that I get them. But I enjoy every monent with them and I am glad that I get to make it to as many of their baseball games that I do. That is one thing nice about living close enough. I do get to enjoy the sports that they or invovled it at the time.

Saturday morning

Looks like a gloomy and grey day out there thus far. As i sit infront of Thess's laptop watching an old black and white Laurel and Hardy movie, I glance out the window....wet and damp. Cloudy skies seem to be all I can see, no sun to peek in on me and make the morning bright, no birds singing this morning there merry little tounes, just the damp wet and grey beginnings of another day.
Luke had a good tee ball game last night as good a a tee ball game can be. After about one inning every one begins to lose interest and then it seems like the games just continue to drag on and you just have to wait patiently. Jacks game on Thurday was cancelled due to the large amounts of what drops that wouldn't stop falling out of the sky...And he has now game today, it is scheduled for Monday, I am sure it will be at 6, but not positive yet.
Gabby came down last night to Lukes game with me and then back to the house to visit and to enjoy dinner with us. She made some really good pork chops and some baked beans...she had mixed vegies with hers, I had salad with mine. Jack had a burger patty with no bun and some salad and some of Lukes macaroni and cheese, which means...Yes... that means Luke had macaroni and cheese and some of my salad. So it was a fabulous evening...except me getting low on glycosomine from not eating and getting a little cranky and crabby on the way home from Lukes game. Irritate...I got home and had a few cheese and crackers before dinner and that help immediately.
I really need to start reading the news again and or at least some of the headlines so I can voice my opinions on what is going on in the world out there since I really have no clue. Although I was told about the big oil rig that is leaking oil. Sounds pretty devistating. It really is amazing our good it makes me feel when the guys at work bring up things and i have no idea what the hell they are talking about, or i will bring something up that I hear on the radio and find out that it is something that happend several weeks ago. It really does make me feel as if I am saving so much energy and storage space in my brain for more useful things, rather then garbage and or media spun bullshit.

its Friday....

Well, been up for about an hour now...getting a little coffee in my and getting ready to head out for work. It really peaceful, this morning. I can hear all kinds of birds this morning sing their songs and making the morning even that much more wonderful. not a single carhas gone by this morning to interrupt their songs and just the tapping of my fingers on the keyboard are the only two sounds right now. Things have been going okay..they could always be smoother and easier, but then what i have to worry about or complain about....nothing..that's right nothing, which I would love to have nothing to complain about.
Gabby ahs been getting her spare room turned into an office and it is looking really awesome. A new desk and some new bookshelves and a new file cabinet that all match. It really looks like a serious offce. Except my clothes in the closest in there... the closet with no doors...hahahah She has been working her butt off in her back yard and getting things down just like the rest of us keep trying to do. it is looking good though.

Thursday May whatever....

Don't really know the date and don't really need to...just that it is 2 days past the last blog I did. So you figure it out...:-)
Work is still work...little things and little short pipe runs that aren't really that fun, because you never get into a good rythem where you can really hall ass. You get going, then stop...get going then stop...but at least we are working (that is becoming a clache in todays society) and we are getting 40 hours a week in still.
I have been enjoying some black and white movies that I have been digging out of the boxes in the garage since the dvd player in my room went poop. I figured I would make use of the vhs and some good old movies. so far I have been pretty lucky in my choices and they have all been pretty entertaining.
The rain has been perfect, not for working in it, but because I fertilized and put some grass seed down two weeks ago and then again on Tuesday of this week. It iw getting greener, the moss is starting to die and it seems to be getting a little fuller again. And the front flower beds I have been quite a bit of time in those try to get them looking good again.
I will have the boys again this weekend....yeeehaaa....love having those little turkeys.
Nothing to serious in this blog, no venting or getting pissed at "the man" or any of his drones. No television to talk about since I don't believe in television any more, just movies. Only thing to complain about is that I there are people that hve it worse than i do and I can't imagine how hard it is for them. To is a bunch of bullshit, there is no reason for anyone in this country to ever have to struggle through life. GOD DAMNIT WE'RE AMERICA AND WE ARE THE BEST FUCKEDUP COUNTRY IN THE WOLRD...AMEN AND HOLAY FUCKIN' LUJAH....FUCK "THE MAN" Nothing personal just a little freedom of speech from me....

Tuesday May 18, 2010

Well here I am again....wow i made it two blogs already this week. Thanks you for the comment Papa....it made me smile. I will definitley let jack know when i talk to him tonight that you said good job. Thank you so much for that. The Fife job is getting slow and it is alot of doing little things that are boring and seem to make the day last for weeks. It sounds like it is pretty set that we are heading down to the job in Vancouver. Benny, our superintendent, is going down as of now and he is fighting like hell to get us some perdium and our at least housing paid for. We'll see if it works. I already voiced my opinion to him this morning that is is bullshit that just beacuse mark and he are going down there they are putting up a fight for some extra money. I asked where that fight was when i was driving to smokey point and then told him that don't give us any extra expense money because i want all of theem to have to do it on their like lou and buffalo and i did when we went up north. That won't happen but at least hey have an idea of how I feel about it, and the more I think about the more pissed i seem to get...gotta let it go....gotta let it go...it is pretty fucked up though.
got home today and got some fertilizer and moss killer and grass seed put down on the lawn. I am just hoping that it rains again tonight or tomorrow otherwise i will have to water it myself. I almost did it last night, but didn't. That would have been perfect timing.
Jack has a game on thursday night I am not sure when or where yet I will find out and then text people to let them know. Luke has a teeball game on friday in tenino at 6. And I will keep everyone posted on Jacks game for Saturday. I am hoping like hell that he gets to play catcher again to see if that really is his position or if you just had a really good time doing it last weekend.
Chow for now.....

Sunday....MAY 16, 2010

Hey Y'all....
What a beautiful weekend we are having. Sun and warmth...that is way no matter what any one else says, this is a good state to live in. Besides what do "They" know. Not nearly as much as I do..ahahaha
Work was good last week. We got job down in Vancouver, close to Portland which we may end up going to. That is sort of the word we have heard. I don't mind at all because I will be the closest one to the job for once. HAHAHAHA. It will still be a bit of a drive but at least the rest of them will be an hour more than me. Makes me laugh. Although with my luck they will pay for housing now that I am the closest, which will be bullshit, but I guess okay cause I'll get it too.
Yesterday was an awesome baseball game. No hits for jack, he walked two or three time and stroke out once...BUT...he played catcher and did an amazing job and also said that he really like play that position. First time all season, and it worked out really good for the other position players. His team one and they played the top team in their league. The other time was much bigger and they were all 11 and 12 year old, Jacks team is all 8 and 9. The handed them their first lose and it was a incredible. It came down to the last inning and we scored to win by one. I was so excited for him specifically because of how he played his position so well and hustled like i have never seen. My hope is that the coach will let him play catcher more because he liked it and he did awesome. It also worked out good for Jordan he is the normal catcher and played shortstop for the game. He did excellent at shortstop, which is one of the positions that jack plays. It was a perfect trade off, Jordan is a better fielder and covers the bases better at shortstop then Jack, but jack is faster at getting the missed balls and getting the ball back to the pitcher without any bad throws. So from my perspective they should stay in those position until something really goes wrong...but then again I am not the coach. Just a dad who something on the field that worked really good for the team and especially for those two players.
Three hours of weeding this morning, mowed and weedeated yesterday...starting to look good again. I love it when I have the drive for yard work. I do like a good looking yard.

May 9,2010

Yes, I am back...sorta. I use what ever computer I can to blog here and there and to check my emails. So they aren't as frequent as I would like them to be, but they are more frequent then they have been.
As you all know it has been a beautiful sunny weekend thus far here in the Olympia area. Jack's last 2 games have been so fun to watch. He started hitting finally and is hitting pretty good I must say. I got him a longer bat which weighs a little more then is old on so he isn't swing to fast and ending up ahead of the pitch. I also got him a helmet with the face protector on it which he says he feels much safer and more confident up at the plate since his face is protected. They won their last 2 games which have been their first wins of the season. Yeeehaaa for them.
Work has been work. The same thing everyday which I guess is the norm for 95 percent of the working class in this country and for that matter around the world.
I think we all got a little to much sun yesterday, at least I can speak for myself on that one. My head and face are a little redder than I would like them to be, damn you would think after all these years a guy would learn. Nope, I still hope for that miracle tan that jack and luke seem to get every year. Maybe I should give that one up.
Gabby is well and enjoying the wonderful weather. She is a sun loving person and she knows that it brings out the happy and the friendly in people. It just seems to make everyone enjoy life a little more and smile more and get out more.
Well, for now I think that is about it. The boys are with Carrie now for mothers day and I am at mom and dad's of course using their computer for this blog entry.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there. Happy Birthday to the dad and Happy Mother's Day to the mom who have made it all possible for this family to be as wonderful and caring and close as we are... and for always being there to make sure us kids are still taken care of. Love you all!!!!!!!!! FTW but love the family!!!!

May 3, 2010

Well...Well...Well....my airport card didn't last long. It lasted about 3 days so I am now borrowing my sisters laptop to at least keep my blog updates as often as it is convenient for her to let me us her laptop. What a wonderful and fabulous weekend. Our last three day week, since we have to go back to 5 eights this week instead of the 4 tens that we got to work for 2 weeks. THOSE WERE NICE WHILE THE LASTED. Although I don't think you can really say they lasted since it was only 2 weeks that we got to work it that way, but oh well....life and work goes on. Although I am official envious of anyone who has the 4 tens schedule.
I got to pick Luke up after school on Friday, took him to lunch and then went and played a lot of catch and pitching and hitting with him. He had a game at 6 on Friday so while I was attending that, I got to play catch with Jack and he got to practice pitching for the duration of Lukes game. Jack was suppose to have a game on Saturday at 230, but the other team never showed up so it was a forfeit. But, once again I got them at about 1 and we played catch and practice before the game was suppose to start, which was and is always a lot of fun.
Then I went up to Gabby's and she talked me into to going to the theatre for the first time in about 15 years, no joke. It was actually quite pleasant. We went to a 5 o'clock show and there were only about 15 other people in the theatre with us, which made in nice for me. One reason I haven't gone for so long is because I never liked the close and packed theatres, so this made me think about going more often since she really enjoys going to see movies. We watch "KICK ASS" which was actually a pretty good movie. It is hard to explain so look it up on the internet to find out what it is about. I liked it and could see myself buying it someday and watching for a week or two straight.
Sunday, I went out and finally bought a weedeater, and did lots of yard work. Weedeated, mowed, fertilized, and pulled a lot of weeds in the front flower beds. Pulled some more when I got home after work today....that's it for now chow and peace and love to everyone.
